Cops' safety tips

Against the backdrop of the recent activities of UGs planting and exploding IEDs which caused injuries to the public and SFs, the Imphal West district police have issued safety tips for the public in order to avert untoward incidents like bomb/IED blasts in the run up to the local body election.
"Avoid unnecessary crowding," is one among the six safety tips that were laid down by the Imphal West district police.
"Do not allow unattended vehicle to be parked in front of your house/shop, etc.
Alert/inform the police for any unattended/abandoned vehicle," "Do not touch any suspicious left objects," "Do not accept any gifts/packets from unknown persons," "Check your surroundings for any unusual changes," "Check any suspicious behaviour of peoples/strangers," the Imphal West district police cautioned the public through a statement signed by its SP, Jayanta.
Apart from the laid down preventive measures, the statement also provided important numbers to contact the district police when needs arise.
