Imphal, September 08 2012:
The proscribed revolutionary group, Revolutionary People's Front (RPF) has claimed responsibility for the bomb attack at Kwakeithel near Tiddim Ground today morning which left one personnel of 18 Sikh Regiment and a civilian injured, saying that it was carried out by its armed wing, People's Liberation Army (PLA) .
In a statement signed by its Publicity Chief Taohangsu Heiremcha, RPF announced that PLA has begun its operation against the Central Security forces of India government.
In the past, PLA used to refrain from carrying out such activities in crowded area for the sake of the people of the state.
But the time has come for the organisation to mount its attack the security forces every now and then.
Asking the people to stay away from security forces, the statement said that people should keep in their mind that bomb and armed attacks of PLA are following the security forces like shadow and the attacks could be carried out at any moment.
PLA will now fight the security forces even in crowded areas if the situation demands.
The time has come for the people of the state to raise their voices for ouster of the security forces from their midst and not against the bomb attacks of the revolutionary groups, RPF said, and appealed to the civilians to cast away all the security posts at school, villages and market places so that they do not become victim of any collateral damages of the war between PLA and the security forces.
It further urged the Meira Paibis, CSOs of the state to refrain from lamenting over the casualties inflicted on Indian security forces in attacks by revolutionary groups.
Hitting out at the Rakhi Bandhan festival celebrated by Manipuri women with the Indian Security forces, the statement warned the 'so called' women leaders against misleading the people.
