Moreh still tense

Imphal, February 19 2014:
Tension still gripped Moreh in the aftermath of two non-Manipuris going missing at Myanmar town Tamu on February 11 .
People from different communities of Moreh not only continued their bandh at the border town but also sealed the border affecting trade activities and movement of people across the border for the second day today.
Meanwhile, mother of one of the missing persons, who arrived at Moreh from Maharashtra two days back, has been waiting for her son at Gate No 2 .
The two persons entered Myanmar along with four of their friends after obtaining passes from Myanmar Immigration office located near Moreh Gate No 2 on February 11 .
They have been identified as Sanvendar (30) from UP and Dhaljit (33) from Maharashtra.
Although, Myanmar authority has been searching for them, their whereabouts are not yet ascertained till date.
Moreh ADC Kshetrimayum Robert and Moreh Police SDPO Balram went to Tamu and urged the Myanmar authority to trace the two Indians at the earliest.
It is said that the Myanmar authority assured the two officials that necessary actions have already been taken up and Indian authority would be informed once the two Indians are traced.
Meanwhile, people of Moreh continued their bandh and sealing of border for the second day today demanding immediate tracing of the two missing persons.
The bandh and border seal largely affected trade activities and movement of the people of the two neighbouring across the border.
