2 remanded to judicial custody

Imphal, August 29 2020:
Two suspects arrested in connection with the death of Maibam Babu have been remanded to judicial custody till September 12 by Chief Judicial Magistrate Imphal West today evening.
The two persons, identified as H Lalboi Samte (30) of Aima Village (at present staying at Langol Game Village Zone-II Punsi Khul) and Ksh Momocha (43) of Iroishemba Maning Leikai were arrested on August 19 evening.
The deceased, Maibam Babu (40), s/o M Goroba of Iroishemba Maning Leikai (at present staying at CRPF Gate Number 3 Langjing) was found lying unconscious at Langol Game village Zone III near Mary Kom Boxing Academy on August 15 evening and evacuated to RIMS hospital where he died the next day.
After postmortem examination of the body, it was speculated that somebody might have caused injury on the head which resulting to his death.
Earlier on August 26, the arrested persons were taken into 4 days police custody remand till today.
During the hearing today, the Investigating Officer of the case through Assistant Public Prosecutor submitted that the police have recovered one blood stain grey colour armless cotton shirt from the bedroom of suspect H Lalboi Samte on August 26.On the same day, police also recovered one wooden stick which 'seems to have blood stain' at the instance of suspect Ksh Momocha from Langol Game village.
The seized articles were handed over to the Mobile Forensic Unit for examination on August 26 and it was found that the articles have blood stains.
Further, blood stain samples have been submitted to the forensic science laboratory for examination of blood stain/group and compare it with the blood stain the victim had in his clothes, submitted the IO.
The Court after hearing the submission of the IO, remanded the two suspects to judicial custody remand till September 12 .
