Imphal, March 25 2017:
On the occasion of the 37th Red Army Uprising Day, the proscribed PREPAK has appealed to all the people of the land to provide support and suggestions so that the Red Army does not stray from their revolutionary path but march ahead till the ultimate goal is achieved.
Recalling the genesis of the Red Army Uprising Day, a statement issued by the outfit Military Affairs Committee (MAC) Chairman Kh Sathy recalled that Red Army cadres attacked a CRPF team at Khwairamband Keithel on March 26, 1980, killed one Havildar, injured two Constables and snatched two weapons.
Red Army cadres carried out similar successful offensives at Moirang, Lamlai and other places.
It is in commemoration of these successful operations that the outfit has been observing the Red Army Uprising Day on March 26 every year.
As a result of living under Indian rule for the past 68 years, people of Kangleipak have been living a wretched life of beggars, claimed the outfit.
This is the outcome of a deliberate policy of the Government of India (GoI), the outfit alleged.
GoI has been continuously sowing seeds of division among hill people and plain people.
The recent 139 days old economic blockade was a manifestation of such a sinister policy.
GoI thinks that intensifying inter-community conflicts would prove to be a major setback to the liberation movement of Kangleipak.
But this is a misplaced understanding on the part of GoI.
GoI must note that a vibrant work culture grew in North Korea after the USA imposed economic blockade for 15 years against the island country.
The most formidable enemy of all the people of Kangleipak is GoI for it is GoI which has been suppressing the masses, it alleged.
The GoI is being assisted by some people who belong to bourgeoise class in suppressing the masses.
Yet, they are not immune to misery associated with the alien rule.
The freedom struggle against GoI would be a long journey and it would entail innumerable hardships.
As such, it is crucial for the people of Kangleipak to groom themselves as fit warriors.
Although armed struggle is the main strategy of the liberation movement, there is no question of discarding unarmed mass movements.
Armed struggle alone would not be enough to achieve the desired goal unless it goes together with unarmed mass movements.
The existing situation does not warrant any hasty action.
People should be mobilised and there should be committed freedom fighters in every nook and corner of the land.
Red Army who are well disciplined and well versed in revolutionary warfare should be groomed so that they combat the Indian military forces.
The long march to liberation should be a steady but sustained journey, Kh Sathy said.
He then called upon all the people of Kangleipak to join the liberation struggle.
