Governor's Cup Polo tournament MPSC-B book title date with ITPC

Imphal, March 25 2017:
Ibudhou Thangjing Polo Club (ITPC) and MPSC-B will face each other in the summit clash of the 27th Governor's Cup Invitation Polo Tournament 2017 after their respective semifinal victories today.
The final match of 27th Governor's Cup Invitation Polo Tournament 2017 and 16th Governor's Cup Women's Polo Tournament 2017, organised by Manipur Horse Riding and Polo Association, will be played on March 27 (Monday) at Mapal Kangjeibung.

While ITPC prevailed over MPSC-C 6-3 in the first semifinal match today, MPSC-B overwhelmed X-Polo Club 5-2 in the second semifinal match.
ITPC warded off a stiff challenge from MPSC-C to emerge 6-3 winners.
M Manihar opened the account for ITPC in the first chukker while P Ojit struck twice to extend the lead in the second chukker.
In reply, MPSC-C could manage to pull one back in the second chukker through Viking Salam.
L Kokeshwar and M Doren took turn to hit one each for ITPC while S Abungcha of MPSC-C struck one in the third chukker.
M Doren of ITPC and S Abungcha of MPSC-C struck their respective second in the fourth chukker to finally make it 6-3 .
In the second semifinal match, X-Polo Club went down 2-5 fighting MPSC-B .
MPSC-B had tamed their opponents right from the start as T Pradeepkumar (2 goals), Th Kaoba (one goal) and P Jyotin (one goal) found their target till the end of the third chukker.
XPC could not score any goal till the end of the third chukker.
However, Th Jacob struck twice for XPC in the last chukker to reduce the margin.
At the same time, Th Kaoba scored his second in the last chukker to seal the match in favour of MPSC-B.At the same time, K&MM Riding School will face Imphal Riding Club in the summit clash of the 16th Governor's Cup women polo tournament.
The closing ceremony of the tournament will be attended by CAF&PD Minister Karam Shyam; IFCD Minister Letpao Haokip; Education Minister Th Radheshyam; Dy Chairman of MSPB S Rajen and Parliamentary Secretary (Tourism/IT) Dr Sapam Ranjan.
