As part of the 60th All India Co-operative Week celebration that kick started on November 14, Cooperatives Marketing and Consumers Day was observed at the office complex of Imphal East District Co-operative Officer, Porompat today.
The function was jointly organised by District Co-operative Officer, Imphal East and Manipur State Co-operative Union.

Saying that supports from RKVY are coming gradually in the State as well, Moses Challai said that the Centre has recently informed that the Department would be allowed to take up any suitable activity whether in forestry, fishery or agriculture.
Imphal Urban Cooperative Bank President Th Dilip said that cooperative societies were set up with an aim to bring economic empowerment to the weaker sections of the society.
He also urged the people of the State to co-operate the bank in uplifting the weaker sections through loans provided by the bank.
MSCU Chief Executive Officer Y Ningthemba said that today's function was the third day of the 60th All India Cooperative Week celebration that kick started on November 14 .
