Mother slams baby contest hosts

Name of a consolation prize winner in the recently held State Level Heal-thy Baby Competition was not announced through the public address system during the prize presentation programme for what event organisers - Family Welfare Department - later claimed to be difficulty in correctly pronouncing/spelling the winner's name.
According to Seram Bila of Ishok Awang Leikai her son Trinibhash, younger of male twin sibling topped the Bishnupur district level competition in the 2-3 years category and was supposed to be among the consolation prize winners.
Even as names of top three position as well as consolation prize winners were de- clared through the loud-speakers the function formally ended concluded but Trinibhash was never called to receive the award.
Upon enquiry Department officials said the name Trinibhash was beyond their vocabulary reach and suggested that the award could be claimed after correctly spelling his name.
Distraught with the officials' attitude the award was rejected, said the mother who also opined that it would be better not to organise such functions/competitions in case incompetency of the organisers results in the participants/winners facing embarrassing situation.
