CM hails Ismat, Zenith Academy

Close on the heels of the State Education department announcing to provide Rs 5 lakh and Rs 10 lakh to AISSE topper Md Ismat and Zenith Academy respectively, Chief Minister O Ibobi today announced a cash incentive of Rs 50,000 each to the topper and the school from his discretionary fund.
The Chief Minister made the announcement today while gracing the felicitation programme of Zenith Academy held at its premises located at Kwakeithel.
Speaking at the occasion, O Ibobi said that the Government is giving priority to Education and Health sectors.
He said the Government is for promotion of all schools, irrespective of private or Government schools, which is committed and productive towards the development of human resource.

Stating that the effort of the Government alone could not be productive in producing responsible citizens or students, Ibobi said that the desired results could be achieved only when all stakeholders, parents and teachers, join hands.
He said the achievement of Manipur in every field including education has been a matter of pride for all while also expressing his optimism that the feats would one day eventually lead the State to higher plane.
Taking note of the erratic power supply in the State, CM O Ibobi said the Government has taken the matter seriously and it is taking measures to reform the power sector while seeking the cooperation of the public towards this end.
The Chief Minister also reiterated the monetary assistance of Rs 1 lakh for candidates from the State who crack the UPSC Civil Services (Prelim) exam; Rs 2 lakh to candidates who cleared the Civil Services (mains) exam and Rs 1 lakh each to candidates who got selection in the NDA.
Delivering his speech, Education Minister, M Okendro was optimistic in preparing and coming out with seniority list of the Education department.
He said apart from the present three Central Universities, the State Government has put up a proposal to the Central Government for the establishment of one deemed university in the State.
Successful candidates of the Zenith Academy and teachers of the institute were honoured with cash incentive during the occasion.
