IOB branch opens in Thoubal

Thoubal, June 14 2012:
The second branch of the Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) in the state under the supervision of Regional Office Guwahati was opened at Thoubal Keithel today.
General Manager, Central Office, Indian Overseas Bank Sh Keshav; SP Thoubal Dr Ak Jhaljit and Senior Regional Manager of the Bank G Kalyan attended the launching ceremony as presidium members.
General Manager Central Office Sh Keshav formally opened the branch.
Speaking on the occasion, Keshav said that Indian Overseas Bank is the 6th largest Bank in India.
It has been providing banking services to the people of the India for the past 75 years.
It also has branches in 6 foreign nations.
He further said that the bank has 32 branches in the whole North East Region and has been providing various loans like agricultural, educational and other matters.
Opening of more branches are in the offing in other parts of the state.
