Imphal, July 28:
The MSF has convened a mass public meeting tomorrow at the DM College of Science Hall to discuss the decision to be taken by the people of Manipur following the announcement by the Centre that the NSCN (IM) ceasefire will now be confined only within the boundary of Nagaland and also to discuss what exactly transpired between the Centre and the NSCN (IM) leadership.
The MSF has invited other student leaders and elders of the society to come forward and offer suggestions.
The student body will take a final decision according to the suggestions by the people, said MSF in a statement.
MSF has also invited intellectuals and meira paibis to attend the meeting.
The student body further said that the agitation would go on as there is still no official intimation that the ceasefire extension has been revoked and also because the talk between the Centre and the NSCN (IM) is still shrouded in mystery.
The agitation and "ban" will continue and will be lifted only after studying the suggestions put forward by the people.
Meanwhile the MSF Thanga branch said it will continue with the closure of the Sendra Tourist Centre and the Keibul Lamjao National Park in view of the intense movement against the ceasefire extension to Manipur.
The student body also said dharnas were also staged.
Dharnas organized by the Pole Star Rising Club, Ithing, meira paibis, members of the Gangte tribe and MSF are still on at Ithing bazar.
The protests started from July 24.Students and staff of Ithing Agape Junior School also staged a dharna, said MSF.
