Imphal, July 26:
On the fifth day of the hunger strike launched by jailed members of the AMSU protesting against the proposal to extend the NSCN (IM) ceasefire to Manipur territory, the condition of two of the strikers is said to be serious.
According to sources, the two, Ksh Umesh, senior volunteer, and Sanathoi, finance secretary, have since been admitted to the jail hospital.
Meanwhile in a press conference this evening at Kongba, the AMSU told media persons that AMSU volunteers together with those of other students� bodies of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh staged dharnas all over these three states.
An AMSU team which is on a tour of the other protesting states has also formed alliances with a number of other students� bodies to have a coordinated struggle against the NSCN (IM) ceasefire extension.
