The Mumlou Ringpam Village Authority, Salungpham would resolutely oppose any move to destroy the age-old fraternal bond existing between the hill and the valley people in the name of ceasefire.
Announcing this, the headman of Tangkhul village, Y Yarteo categorically stated the Tangkhul tribe as such has no objection to the ceasefire agreement with the NSCN (IM).
But if is being used as a ploy to disintegrate the native land Manipur and drive a wedge between the hill and valley people would be strongly opposed.
In fact, ceasefire agreement with such �devilish� designs would be condemned even if we are Tangkhul Nagas, the village headman stated in a press release, adding that it is a historical fact that the hill and valley people have existed in mutual cooperation as brothers since time immemorial.
Paying rich tributes to the 17 persons who and have sacrificed their lives in the ongoing movement for territorial, Yarteo said that they have sacrificed their precious lives to save Manipur and to strengthen the fraternal bonding between the hill and valley people.
