Chadong Church flooded

About 200 paris of agriculture land of Chagem Loukon and Patkha Loukon in Imphal East have been reportedly submerged .
At Chadong village near Mapithel Dam, the overflowing water from the river has submerged good parts of the village Church as well as a new school constructed under SSA.
According to a statement issued by Uyumpok Development Committee, the water inundation is due to overflowing of Khamenlok stream.
It urged the authority concerned to pay enough and timely attention to the woes of the farmers.
Meanwhile, farmers of Tangkham Lamphel Soi Loukon have reportedly been faced with rodent menace and flood woes.
A statement issued by the Tangkham Farmers' Association said that freshly sown seeds and fresh plants have been damaged by rodents in Tangkham Lamphel Soi Loukon of Imphal East.
Amidst this menace, the farmers are staring at grimmer prospects as the agriculture land has been submerged due to heavy rainfall for the past few days.
The Association drew the attention of the Govt to solve their plights.
