Acting on inputs, members of People For Animals (PFA) relocated a 4 ft long venomous cobra which strayed into Thoubal district hospital.
According to a statement, the 4-ft long cobra was captured after driving it out from a pipe on Sunday.
The snake was released at a suitable site the next day.
In another incident, a female Kalij's Pheasant (Waba) was handed over to PFA by one Leitongbam Shamu of Angtha Mayai Leikai.
Waba is once a common bird of Manipur but now in the brink of extinction.
It is listed in scheduled 1 of WLPA.
In another instance, a young female barking deer was rescued from Chingkhu of Pangei.
Kshetrimayum Golen, a postman, found the deer being chased by some dogs.
He took help from one A Shyam, the owner of a nearby brick farm.
They together saved the deer from the dogs and handed over it to the president of Young Farming Club, Chingkhu.
After receiving information from him, a joint team of PFA and Dr Devkishore of Claws and Paws Vety clinic rescued the deer.
The deer is under medication at PFA animal shelter.
One Jack snipe (bird) was handed over by one Khomdram Tondonba of Langthabal Kunja.
However, the snipe succumbed to injuries in its wing.
One Elongated Turtle was also handed over by Chanam Shyamkesho of Tentha Heibung, it said.
