Imphal, June 14 2015 :
Maoist Communist Party Manipur (MCPM) has said that in the aftermath of Paraolon ambush, Indian army has been conducting 'search and destroy' operation in Chandel district with the help of an 'armed black gang', which is currently under Suspension of Operation (SoO) with the Government.
In a statement, MCPM said that the outfit would not tolerate disconnection and isolation of Chandel district from the rest of the State due to this operation as its founding vice-chairman 'comrade' Ngamlet Baite belonged to this district.
No outfit operating in the district has suffered any casualty in the ongoing operation, claimed MCPM and added that it is impossible to suppress the revolutionary movement of Manipur.
The outfit further declared that it does not have any camp inside the territory of Myanmar.
Without having the slightest knowledge of the ground situation, media houses of mainland India have glorified the Indian army as tigers, the statement said.
Unfortunately, these 'concocted' reports are again reproduced by the State media, the outfit said.
No media person including local and State journalist has ever visited the area to collect authenticated report of the ground situation wherein Indian army is deliberately using Minthang and Thangboi alias Jacob of a SoO signatory 'armed black gang' in their search and destroy operation.
At this critical juncture, the State media must know how to act responsibly, the statement said.
