Kohima, June 14 2015 :
Three days after a felicitation function was held in the presence of Nagaland Chief Minister TR Zeliang, NPF president Dr Sherhoziele Liezietsu and NPF Central and Manipur unit leaders, the newly elected ADC members from the NPF have elected its leaders who are set to become the Chairman and Vice-Chairman.
According to reliable sources from Japfii Hotel, Kohima where the ADC members have been staying since June 11, the newly elected members unanimously elected former Poumai Naga Union (PNU) and Naga People's Organization (NPO) president ML Markson as the Chairman of the new Senapati ADC.
Former Maram Union President and general secretary of Naga Hoho, John Hingba has been elected as the Vice-Chairman.
The final call to elect five Executive Members among the 22 ADC members will be decided at the earliest, added the source.
Another interesting development is the alliance of four Independent ADC members with the NPF members, who originally missed a simple majority of 13 members, to finally reach 15 members to form the ADC in Senapati district.
All the four Independent members were also in Kohima and have decided to be part of the NPF-led ADC rule in order to bring stability in the district, said a senior NPF leader.
The ADC house will have 26 members including two nominees who will be nominated by the State Government.
Meanwhile, there are no signs of any political alliance with the BJP which secured 8 seats or the Congress party which secured a single seat from Koide DCC.
