Continuing with its effort to revive the education system in areas where its existence is merely nominal the Siamsinpawlpi (SSPP)- Paite Students' Welfare Association, visited two interior Government-run schools under Thanlon Sub-Division on Wednesday and Thursday.
A statement of the student's body said they had a lively interaction session with the students as well as the villagers during their visit to the Government High Schools both at Leijangphai and Bukpi, located respectively at about 60 kms and 176 kms from here.
"The villagers actively shared their thoughts and ideas on how to improve the education system in this far-flung area", said Nangmuansang Lethil, a member of the visiting team.
"We also interacted with the students at the Bukpi Government High School to gauge their understanding and comprehension of their syllabi", he added.
Past efforts of the Siamsinpawlpi have seen positive dividends on some Government-run schools under Singngat and Thanlon Sub-Divisions with the revival of Bukpi Government High School, Sinzawl Government High School and Suangdoh Government High School.
With active support from Thanlon MLA Vungzagin Valte and Singngat MLA Ginsuanhau as well as the people from these remote areas, the Siamsinpawlpi hopes to give a new life and meaning to the education system in the Hills of Southern Manipur, said the student body.
