Ambulance handed over to give edge in fight against COVID-19

In view of the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in the second wave, Kangabam Jadumani, former candidate of Wangkhem AC handed over an ambulance to Covid-19 Relief Committee 32-Wangkhem AC at Charangpat Luxmi Bazar today.
The Covid-19 Relief Committee 32-Wangkhem AC constituted by the 14 local clubs of the constituency would operate the ambulance.
Speaking on the occasion, social worker, Kangabam Jadumani stated that the ambulance was provided to aid the people who are facing difficulties in transporting COVID-19 patients to Health care centres especially after the imposition of curfew in the State.
He mentioned that in the past fatalities have also been reported due to the non-availability of ambulances to transport the patient during a medical emergency while adding that such tragic incidents could be avoided now.
The programme was attended by CHC Charangpat MO in charge, Takhellambam Jhullon and members of local clubs.
Meanwhile, Wabagai AC MLA, Mohamad Fajur Rahim also handed over an ambulance to transport COVID-19 patients of the constituency.
Speaking on the occasion.
Fajur Rahim stated that even with the increasing number of COVID-19 infections in the district, a number of people are still facing difficulties in transporting COVID-19 positive patients to Community Home Isolation Centres and Covid Care Centres.
