Former Minister and present State executive of BJP Manipur Pradesh, Thangminlen Kipgen exhorted the people of Manipur to not hesitate in helping others during this unprecedented health crisis.
He also cautioned the people that any act of generosity should be done following strict COVID appropriate behavior and purely on humanitarian grounds without any individual interest or motive of benefit.
The above statement was made by Thangminlen Kipgen during a handover function of 10 LPM Oxygen Concentrators donated by NLC India Limited, previously known as Neyveli Lignite Corporation Limited,- Chennai, Tamilnadu at CMO's office Kangpokpi District today.
"As a little drop of water makes the mighty Ocean, our little act of generosity during this health crisis could save a thousand lives", asserted the veteran politician while exhorting all like-minded citizens of the State to embark on humanitarian acts through the proper channel.
Thangminlen Kipgen stated that he had a discussion with Ajang Khongsai, State spokesperson BJP Manipur Pradesh on the prevailing health crisis in the State and decided to urge NCL India Limited for their assistance.
He continued that the initiative to seek assistance was purely based on humanitarian grounds while adding that it is not a time to work for party or individual political mileage.
The veteran politician said that the State Government is doing its best for the people but the fight against the dreaded COVID-19 pandemic could not be successful without the assistance and support of the people.
Thangminlen Kipgen conveyed his anticipation that the doctors, nurses and other health workers would be morally boosted with the availability of more oxygen concentrators for COVID patients.
He encouraged the health workers and urged them to carry out their duties sincerely for the welfare of the people.
He also urged the people of Kangpokpi to extend all possible cooperation and assistance to the frontline workers and never hesitate to help one another during this unprecedented health crisis.
Thangminlen Kipgen also conveyed his heartfelt gratitude to NLC India Limited for providing the oxygen concentrators and appreciated its commitment and dedication towards humanity at this critical juncture.
Ajang Khongsai said, "It is the question of how to save human lives during the pandemic that makes us embark on such a noble act.
It is time we put our heads together and embark on various activities to save human lives".
Chief Medical Officer, Kangpokpi, Dr J Touthang expressed his sincere and heartfelt gratitude to NLC India Limited for providing the Oxygen concentrators which could save many lives during the pandemic.
He also extended his profound gratitude to the State executive, BJP Manipur Pradesh and State spokesperson, BJP Manipur Pradesh for their noble thought and concern over the- health care system and infrastructure in the district while adding that the people of Kangpokpi are fortunate to have such humble and responsible leaders.
The distribution programme was also attended by the Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Kangpokpi, Senior MOs, MOs of various health centers in the district, etc.
