Sky Hospital enlisted for the Rashtriya Swatha Bima Yojana

Sky Hospital (Porompat branch) has been enlisted for the Rashtriya Swatha Bima Yojana (RSBY) which means RSBY smart card holders can undergo medical treatment and surgical operations at the hospital free of cost.
Along with the introduction of RSBY scheme in the hospital, a 64 year old man had his gall bladder stones removed through surgical operation.
People belonging to BPL category are given RSBY smart cards by the Government as a sort of health insurance.
RSBY smart card holders can undergo medical examination and treatment in hospitals where RSBY scheme is implemented.
On learning about implementation of RSBY in Sky Hospital, a 64 year old man from Pallel admitted himself at the hospital on August 4 and he underwent surgical operation next day.
He is currently in the hospital's ICU for post operative care.
Talking to The Sangai Express, Sky Hospital and Research Centre chairman Dr L Shyamkishore said that RSBY smart card holders are not charged any money for operation, medicines or their stay in the hospital.
At the same time, the Porompat branch is now equipped with three fully functional operation theatres.

They further said that bed wetting of their mate is nothing related with the medical examination.
