CCpur loses Rs 10.47 Cr due to state apathy: NPF

The NPF Churachandpur has accused the State Government of wilfully lapsing Backward Region Grand Funds to the tune of Rs 10.47 crore, which were meant for the district for the financial year 2012-2013. Demanding that the lapsed fund be reclaimed immediately, a statement of the NPF signed by its district President S Genlunthang Vaiphei said the fund which was sanctioned by the ministry of RD, Government of India was lapsed intentionally by the State Finance department which was headed by the Chief Minister.
'Why is the Chief Minister so mint-minded for such a few Crore of rupees to be released for the backward hilly district like Churachandpur while thousands of Crore were spend in the valley districts,' charged the district NPF.
The NPF Churachandpur divisional unit demands immediate retrieval of the lapsed money else it would not remain a silent spectator to such step-motherly attitude of the valley centric Congress government, further demanded the NPF adding, it will also expose the mismanagement of Ibobi led Congress Government and their bias and anti-tribal policies.
