CRPF distributes relief items

Imphal, May 22 2021:
69 Bn, CRPF organized a Civic Action Programme (CAP) today by distributing face masks and food item packets for the poor villagers and Destitute Home as well as Orphanage Home around our camp areas in continuation of effort to reach out to the poor and the needy people in this unit AOR, especially during this lock down and curfew period due to Covid-19 pandemic which directly or indirectly affects the common people.
Randeep Dutta, IGP, CRPF, M&N Sector was the Chief Guest who inaugurated the distribution of ration packets to the local people who are facing a hard time due to acute shortage of food items, unemployment and closure of markets etc.
Beneficiaries of the food item distribution also includes two social workers societies namely, Destitute Children Home at Lei-Ingkhol, Mantripukbri run by Leprosy Patients Welfare Society and Tabitha Children Home (Orphanage Home) at Raphei Valley, Mantripukhri.
The Chief Guest also exhorted the local people to remain strong and follow all protocols and instructions regarding Covid-19 so as to avoid getting infected by the dreaded virus, said a statement issued by CRPF.
The event was also attended by Bajrang Lai Comdt-69 Bn, Officers, Unit Doctors and other personnel of 69 Bn, CRPF, ladies and needy poor people of the surrounding villages particularly - Nepali Basti, Bihari Basti & Lei Ingkhol participated with strict Covid-19 health Protocols, Social Distancing and other Orders issued by the State Government, added the statement.
The Civic Action Programme brought a huge relief to the people around and in turn the local people and the Societies expressed their heartfelt gratitude to 69 BN CRPF for providing them the most needed food items during this harsh and difficult times.
