Mass testing conducted at Kwakeithel

Ereima Seva Association conducted mass testing at Kwakeithel Laishram Leikai under the aegis of ex MLA RK Anand today.
Precaution is one of the best way to protect from the virus and if any one is showing symptoms, early testing and diagnosis by doctors is the biggest step to save ourselves from the pandemic, RK Anand said.
He added state health authorities, CMO and DC were apprbached for conducting mass testing to ensure that early detection of the spread can be detected in the locality.
Such mass testing provided to the masses for free of cost will also ensure that everyone who wants to get tested are not left behind.
He added that it will be wrong to consider COVID-19 just like flu.
Ex MLA RK Anand inspected the Urban Health Centre at Kwakeithel and appealed the Government to open a vaccination centre for Naoriya Pakhanglakpa AC in this UHC in addition to the single vaccination centre at Mekola PHC.
The opening of a single vaccination centre to cater to the huge population of Naoriya Pakhanglakpa AC is causing a problem to the people in trying to find a slot for vaccination, he added.
Laishram Biswajit, general secretary, Ereima Seva Association said in view of the increasing number of positive cases in the locality, free mass testing was conducted in the area under the aegis of ex MLA RK Anand.
He also added a Covid Response Team has been formed by members of 9 clubs of Kwakeithel to look after the' functioning of Community Home Isolation Centre of Naoriya Pakhanglakpa AC set to open at Pitambara School.
