Imphal, December 25 2021: A book of poems book titled "Thaja-Thanil" written by Sagolsem Bilashini was released in a simple function held at Manipur Press Club here on Saturday.

The book release function organised by Iramdam Meeyamgee Apunba Khorjei Lup (Imakhol) was attended by dean of humanities of Manipur University professor Nahakpam Aruna as chief guest while Imphal College principal Dr Moirangthem Priyobrata spoke about the book.

'Thaja-Thanil' is the second book of the writer and the 105th publication of Imakhol.

In another function held Saturday at Manipur Hindi Parishad hall, Old Assembly Road, a Manipuri novel titled 'Nura-Ibemma' written by Sanahanbi Chingarel was released.

The function organised by Nongchup Haram Khorjei Lup (Nohakhol) was attended by Khundrakpam AC intending candidate Elangbam Soviet as chief guest, Nohakhol president Dr L Sashikumar Yurembam as president while Waiton GP pradhan P Surbala and Chingarel-Tejpur GP pradhan Elangbam Premjay Meitei were present as guests of honour.

DM University faculty member Dr Saratchandra Longjamba spoke about the book which is the 213th publication of Nohakhol.
