Jiribam committee warns school shutdown

Roshidpur Upper Primary School Committee has urged authority concerned not to keep Md Makram Ali as headmaster of Roshidpur Upper Primary School, Jirib am and cautioned that the ' said school would be shut down if Makram continues remains in the post.
According to committee member Md Nazir Ahmed, Md Makram not only collected money from the students in the name of providing scholarship but also siphoned off rice meant for students.
The incumbent headmaster Ali also withdrew fund from the government for school development but no development work could be seen till date, the member alleged.
After a complaint in this regard was made, ZEO issued order for transfer of Md Makram Ali on May 11 but another order of the director (education) on May 18 made him the headmaster of the school again, Md Nazir informed media persons during a press conference held at the school's premises on Monday.
He then warned that the committee in coordination with guardians of the students and local people will put the school under lock and seal if Md Makram Ali continues to remain as the headmaster of the school.
