BJP to celebrate 8-yr of Modi as PM

A meeting of the national office bearers of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) held at Jaipur in Rajasthan on May 20 discussed the party 's victory in the recent assembly elections and return of the BJP government in four states.
A decision was also taken to observe a fortnight-long celebration to commemorate 8 years of the PM Narendra Modi-led government at the centre.
Addressing a press meet in this regard at Thambal Shanglen here on Monday, BJP Manipur Pradesh vice president N Nimbus informed that a fortnight-long celebration to mark 8 years of PM Modi's government will be held from May 30, till June 15 .
Stating that PM Modi took the oath as the Prime Minister in his first term on May 30, 2014, he said various programmes/activities will be taken up during this period including schemes focusing on empowerment of women, children and weaker/vulnerable sections of the society in BJP-ruled states, in addition to forming committees starting from the booth level to spread awareness among the masses about the said programmes.
Further informing that the party's MPs, MLAs and representatives of local bodies would be taking part in the celebration, he said that different state level committees have been formed in this regard.
BJP Manipur Pradesh spokesperson S Nongpoknganba conveyed that the party's victory in the recent polls is due to the success of various policies taken under BJP's 'Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas aur ab Sabka Vishwas' and 'Sabka Prayas' mantra, as was conveyed to the national office bearers during the meeting.
He continued that BJP government is for the people.
The party's share of votes has exponentially increased in the subsequent elections of 2014, 2017, 2019 and 2022, owing to the people-oriented schemes.
Despite the farmers' protest ahead of the polls and the false claims of the opposition, the BJP government was able to make its return in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Manipur and Goa and also swept the recent local bodies' elections in Assam, Tripura, Gujarat and Chandigarh, clearly indicating the people's trust and support of the BJP government.
BJP's sincerity in fulfilling election promises for development, its determination to fight the Covid-19 pandemic and other humanitarian policies could also be attributed as the reason for the people preferring the BJP government, he stated.
Nongpoknganba then remarked that the party's victory in the recent poll was huge and has further helped in branching out the government under PM Modi.
The meeting considered BJP's Nation first, Self second' as another important reason for the party's victory.
People all over the world are aware that when both Ukraine and Russia attempted to pull India to their side during the recent conflict, PM Modi instead urged for the two countries to end the war peacefully, he conveyed, while adding that the meeting was also attended by BJP Manipur Pradesh president A Sharda and secretary organisation Abhay Giri.
The press meet was also attended by BJP Manipur Pradesh spokespersons RK Pramodini and AC Jayanta.
