Lecture on Impact of women scientists' held

Imphal, May 23 2022:
GP Women's College Physics department and Internal Quality Assurance Cell jointly organised a day-long extensive lecture programme on Impact of women scientists' at its central hall on Monday.
The programme was attended by DM University vice chancellor Prof N Rajmuhon, College principal Dr Rk Tamphasana, Manipur University of controller of examinations Professor N Nimai and MU life science department professor Rajendro as presidium members.
Speaking at the event, USA department of astrophysics Prof A Surjalal Sharma pointed out that the world is moving at a fast pace towards science and technology and the women scientists have also been taking significant roles in this movement.
During her speech, principal Rk Tamphasana pointed out that though girl students have been taking part in various fields Of science there is the need to focus on research work.
She also stressed the need for the teachers to encourage female students so that they have the desire to work in the field of science.
