Imphal, June 02 2021:
The armed Kangleipak Communist Party-Military Council (Progressive) said that representatives of the people like the chief minister, ministers and MLA and social workers should understand that the invisible COVID-19 virus is attacking human beings more deadlier than the first and second world wars.
The outfit suggested convening of an assembly session at the earliest to chalk out a strategy to fight the virus on war footing and appoint a leader (captain) to lead the COVID-19 Task Force so that the fight against the invisible virus could be more effective.
The outfit also stressed the need for a united fight against the virus till uprooting the same from the land.
Expressing concern over the differences at constituency level in the fight against COVID-19, a KCP-MC statement issued by information & publicity secretary Maheikhomba Meitei further said that the fight against the pandemic is being done differently in constituencies depending on whether the elected representatives belong to BJP or Congress.
