'Loubuk Maikei Panglasi' mission launched at Heirok

One of the most ambitious and unique missions, 'Loubuk Maikei Panglasi', was launched at Hierok under the supervision of the local MLA Dr Thokchom Radheshyam today.
The mission aims to clean all the canals, provide water to paddy fields, provide fertilizers to farmers, etc.
As a part of the programme, Dr Thokchom Radheshyam personally supervised the cleaning of Loklaobung canal and declared the launch of 'Loubuk Maikei Panglasi' mission in Heirok AC .
He also initiated the cleaning of Thingel canal.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Th Radheshyam stated that with the onset of the paddy cultivation season, the local farmers have initiated their preparations.
The MLA highlighted the importance of the 'Loubuk Maikei Panglasi' mission while adding that the mission is even more vital for Heirok AC as most of the people of the constituency are farmers.
Dr Thokchom Radheshyam continued that the State Government under the leadership of Chief Minister, N Biren Singh is committed to provide all necessary assistance for the welfare of the farmers of the State.
In this regard the State Government has formulated many schemes and measures to enhance agricultural productivity in the State, he added.
The MLA assured that under the 'Loubuk Maikei Panglasi', a total of 16 canals in Heirok Part II and III would be cleaned and urged the public to come forward and provide their assistance.
He also mentioned that a canal cleanliness programme would be conducted on Friday at Salungpham while adding that all necessary COVID-19 related precautionary measures have been taken for the same.
Heirok Jilla Parishad member T Nungshi Singh also participated in the programme.
It may be mentioned that Thokchom Khongkhai, Heibi khong, Laba khong, etc in Heirok Part II and Musalman khong, Musalman Thingel, Amurou khong in Heirok Part III were cleaned today.
