The Committee against Tipaimukh is all set to launch series of agitations in a few days time in protest against the government's decision to construct Tipaimukh high dam in Churachandpur district.
In a press hand out today CATD said since the government had gone ahead by signing the MoU between the Power department and the NEEPCO the Committee had no alternative but to agitate in whatever manner that are appropriate unless the government revokes the stand Convenor of the Committee Aram Pamei said.
The organization has tied up with various organizations of Manipur to start its agitations.
The Convenor said holding of rallies, calling national highway 53 bandh, boycotting of concerned authorities are some of the listed programmes to be launched as a first phase of the agitation.
The Convenor said the Committee would do anything to make the government reconsider the stand of the government.
