Imphal, July 10 2017:
Demanding reinstatement of IAS officer O Nabakishore and revocation of the Government order which removed him from the post of Chief Secretary, the JAC constituted in this connection has threatened to launch different modes of intense agitation .
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club here today, JAC Against Discriminatory and Uncere- monious Removal of Chief Secretary O Nabakishore, IAS, co-convenor H Kirankumar expressed strong disapproval against the Government's failure to explain O Nabakishore's faults .
People would not have raised any objection if the Government had first explained Nabakishore's faults or wrongdoings before he was transferred or removed from the post of Chief Secretary, Kirankumar said .
It was rather disheartening that the Chief Minister opted to keep the people confused without stating the ex-Chief Secretary's faults .
If Nabakishore was removed from the post of Chief Secretary for inefficiency or involvement in corruption cases, people would not raise any objection against the Government's move .
If Nabakishore is not culpable, he should be reinstated otherwise the JAC would be constrained to launch all modes of intense agitation, he added .
Meanwhile, decrying the removal of O Nabakishore from the post of Chief Secretary and demanding his reinstatement, a protest demonstration was staged today at Maibam Leikai Bokul Makhong, Liwa Lambi under Young Men's Development Association and local Meira Paibis.
