"Sobhagchand's family is also a business family and we belong to the same community", Rahul Kumar Jain said .
He further alleged that Sobhagchand and his family started threatening them since April this year asking them to leave their house and go away.
Rahul Kumar said that their house was mortgaged to Sobhagchand and his family at Rs 45 lakh in January last year and his father (Mahendra Kumar) signed on a blank paper.
Although it was earlier thought to be a mortgage deed, it later turned out to be a sale deed, he continued .
Now, Sobhagchand has been collecting monthly rents from people running shops in Mahendra Kumar's plot.
Moreover, Sobhagchand claimed that the house and the plot have been bought at Rs seven crore and they (Mahendra Kumar's family) must leave the house at the earliest .
Claiming that he was born and raised in Manipur, Rahul Kumar Jain said that their house is a heritage from their forefathers .
Saying that he never encountered such terrifying incidents all his life at Imphal, he sought immediate intervention of the Government .
Regarding the threat to leave home, a petition was filed at the High Court of Manipur .
"After perusing the petition, the High Court issued an order which categorically states that out family should not be evicted until due arrangement is made for interim protection", Rahul Kumar Jain said .
However, despite the High Court's order, the thugs broke into the house on July 5, vandalised household articles and threatened the family to vacate the house, he narrated.
