Imphal, September 08 2019:
Citing a Vigilance report, the Peace and Development Coordi-nating Committee (PDCC) has blamed Khundrakpam AC MLA and ex-Speaker Th Lokeshwor for inordinately delaying construction of a district hospital at Sagolmang.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club here today, PDCC secretary Th Hemjit, citing a report furnished by Vigilance Department, said that Th Lokeshwor in cahoots with special contractor RK Lakhisana and MDS former Project Director Y Ningthem withdrew over Rs one crore from Government fund and constructed compound fence around the private land of Lakhisana in the name of constructing a district hospital.
Contrary to the claims of Th Lokeshwor and his family, no land was donated for construction of district hospital at Sagolmang although they withdrew a huge amount and constructed compound fence around their private land, Hemjit said.
He also hailed Vigilance Department for bringing out the truth.
He further blamed Th Lokeshwor and his family for the non-construction of district hospital at Sagolmang.
Hemjit then appealed to all stake holders to work collectively and urge the Government to start the much delayed hospital construction work.
