AMKIL observes 19th foundation day at Jiribam

Apunba Manipur Kanba Ima Lup (AMKIL) observed its 19th foundation day at Babupara Multi Utility Complex Hall, Jiribam, today.
Speaking at the event after litting the ceremonial lamp, AMKIL president,Sakhi Leima said that the lup (AMKIL) was formed by merging several meira paibi lups of the State to save the territorial integrity of Manipur, following the signing of ceasefire agreement between the NSCN-IM and the Indian Government in 1997 .
AMKIL resolved to observe its 19th foundation at Jiribam to spread the message of oneness to the people of the district, she added.
JCILPS co-convenor, YK Dhiren, while speaking at the event, sought co-operation from all indigenes of the State to save Manipur from suffering the same fate/destiny as Tripura, where a Tripuri has become a minority in their own State.
