BP Vikas Basnet leads mass vaccination drive at 7 Miles Maohing

Kangpokpi, July 09 2021:
BP Vikas Basnet, former executive member of ADC Sadar Hills from Irang Part-II led a mass vaccination drive at 7 Miles Maohing in collaboration with the Medical Department and COVID Task Force of the Irang area today.
Around 250 beneficiaries were vaccinated during the vaccination drive.
Speaking on the occasion, BP Vikas Basnet said that considering the importance and necessity of vaccination, he initiated the vaccination drive after consulting with the local MLA, Nemcha Kipgen while adding that it was conducted in collaboration with the medical team and CTF Irang area.
He urged the people to vaccinate themselves and not to fall into misleading claims shared about Covid vaccine in various social media platforms.
The former ADC Sadar Hills member appreciated the tireless efforts and sacrifice of Nemcha Kipgen and her concern for the people.
He also conveyed appreciation and gratitude to the Medical team and COVID Task Force Irang area for their service during the pandemic.
Meanwhile, considering the health and wellness of the people and average vaccine uptake in Saikul Sub-Division under Kangpokpi district, Yamthong Haokip, MLA 46 Saikul A/C also took an active part in the routine of vaccination campaign and ceaselessly extended his assistance towards the medical department Yamthong Haokip expressed his concern over the increasing trend of COVID-19 positive cases and urged the people to get themselves vaccinated as soon as possible to curtail the spread of COVID-19 and prevent unnecessary loss of lives.
In a bid to boost vaccination, he also assured to extend financial help to the first three fully vaccinated villages under Saikul Subdivision with an amount ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 40,000 .
A total of 50 persons from Changsang, 32 persons at CHC Saikul and 170 persons from Gangpijang got vaccinated today during the Mobile Vaccination sessions held at different villages under Saikul AC.
Besides, with 16 new positive cases detected today, the active case in Kangpokpi district stands at 145 while the fatality stands at 44 .
