MASLSA holds interactive meet with women helpline

Imphal, May 26 2021:
Manipur State Legal Services Authority (MASLSA) organised an online interactive meeting with the panel lawyers deputed at One Stop Centres/women helpline for enhancing legal aid to vulnerable women amidst the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic.
The interactive meeting held on Wednesday from 1 pm to 2 pm through Jitsi Meet platform was chaired by MASLSA member secretary Ojesh Mutum.
He discussed with the panel lawyers with reference to cases referred from One Stop Centres/women helpline, provide effective legal aid and assistance, challenges faced and suggestions for improvement in delivering effective legal aid and services to vulnerable women in the state amidst the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic.
A total of 12 panel lawyers deputed at the One Stop Centres/women helpline of Imphal East, Imphal West, Thoubal, Bishnupur, Churachandpur and Kangpokpi districts participated in the programme.
Any vulnerable women who need support and assistance may reach out to the 181-women helpline number.
