RIMS student killed in mishap

Imphal, May 26 2021:
A medical student of RIMS died in a road accident that took place at Langol at around 12.30 am, today.
The deceased has been identified as one Harsemran Singh (24), s/o Jatinder of Indra Vihar, New Delhi.
It is reported that the medical student died when the car he was travelling with a few companions met a self accident near NIT campus.
A case has been registered at Lamphel police station.
The body will be sent to the deceased family after post mortem examination, said a reliable source.
Meanwhile, the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) has condoled the demise of Harsemran Singh.
As a mark of respect to the departed soul, officials and students of the health care institute, led by Director Prof A Santa Singh; Medical Superintendent Prof H Priyosakhi Devi; Dean (Academic) Prof Brogen Singh Akoijam; Chief Warden Prof Sanjib Nepram, observed silence for two minutes, said RIMS in a condolence message.
RIMS also prayed for the bereaved family.
