BJP-SH celebrates 8 'Sal Seva Sushashan'

The BJP Sadar Hills joined the nation in celebrating '8 Sal: Seva Sushashan Aur Garib Kalyan' (completion of 8 years of BJP central government) at Kangpokpi district headquarters on Wednesday.
The event was attended by minister Nemcha Kipgen, Wabagai MLA Dr Usham Deben Singh, who is also the vice president of BJP Manipur Pradesh, N Nimbus Singh, vice president BJP Manipur Pradesh, Paokam Haokip, state secretary BJP Manipur Pradesh and in-charge of BJP Sadar Hills, ex-MLA Ngamthang Haokip, and Thangjamang Kipgen, president BJP Sadar Hills, apart from Sadar Hills BJP Mandal presidents and workers.
Addressing the gathering, Nemcha said that during the 8 years of the BJP-led central government, India has become the fastest-growing economy in the world.
She also said that the innovative ideas and approach of our visionary Prime Minister Narendra Modi has uplifted the society and the nation as a whole by introducing various welfare schemes, especially focusing on the poor and needy in the country.
The minister said that similarly, in Manipur, under the dynamic leadership of chief minister N Biren changes and uplift of society irrespective of caste, creed and religion have been witnessed tremendously by introducing many welfare schemes and projects.
She also urged the party workers to conduct door-to-door interaction with the people and assist them in availing of the government's schemes and benefits while stressing the need for afforestation and people's participation to eradicate poppy cultivation in the state, especially in the hiil districts.
Other dignitaries and party leaders also spoke on the occasion and narrated how the party started from scratch and how it won the hearts of the people by putting their trust in the government during the 8 years of service to the masses.
The event culminated with a tree plantation in the surrounding area of Brig M Thomas Ground.
