Foundation stone of HEYDA laid

The foundation stone of the office building of Hiyangthang Educated Youth Development Association (HEYDA) was laid by RK Anand, MLA of Naoriya Pakhanglakpa A/C as Chief Guest during a function held at Hiyangthang Makha Leikai Community Hall, Imphal West on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Anand said that a proposal for renovation of Hiyangthang Lairembi has been sent to the Chief Minister and the government is also trying to blacktop all important roads and provide adequate potable water in Hiyangthang area.
He further said that the government is concerned about lack of development in Hiyangthang area and as a MLA he is taking the lead role in ensuring equal opportunity and facility to people of Naoriya Pakhanglakpa constituency.
Stating that role of clubs, organizations and Meira Paibis is of paramount importance in bringing in development and tranquility in the State, the MLA maintained that renovation of Hiyangthang Lairembi is needed considering inconveniences faced by devotees coming to the sacred temple of Hiyangthang Lairembi.
Presided over by Huidrom Thoiba, president of HEYDA, the function was also attended by Laishram Yaima, founder president of HEYDA and Apabi Mangang as Guests of Honor.
