JNV Chandel organises social service at blind school

Imphal, December 01 2014 : In connection with the Swachh Bharat Mission, the Bharat Scout and Guides of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) Chandel organised a social service at Mission Blind School, Heikakpokpi Village in Chandel District yesterday.

During the social service, Scout and Guide of JNV, Chandel conducted the social service by cleaning the school campus and surroundings of Mission Blind School since early morning.

As part of the social service, a team of Bharat Scout and Guides of JNV Chandel also organised a love feast for the students and staff of Mission Blind School at the school premises.

S Sanamacha, Principal JNV Chandel; K Nilakanta, Creative Teacher; L Shila Devi, PET Teacher and L Shyamanda, Manipuri Graduate Teacher also took part in the Social Service.

While speaking at the sideline of social service, K.Nilakanta Singh, Creative Teacher of JNV Chandel said that the social service was conducted by a team of Bharat Scout and Guide of JNV Chandel as a part of Pace Setting Program in connection with the Swachh Bharat Mission.

He further said that the team will also conduct similar social service at Orphan Home located at Moreh within the current year.
