Imphal, January 24 2023: The Winners' Home, a privately run drug de-addiction centre located at Wakha Nong-maiching, Chingkhong, Imphal East has been banned from functioning with immediate effect as it was found not registered as TRUST (Treatment and Rehabilitation of Users for Social Transformation) rehabilitation centre, under the Social Welfare Department, Manipur.

Issuing an order in this regard, Imphal East DC Khumanthem Diana has directed to handover any residing inmates in the centre to their respective guardians.

The order also advised the Imphal East SP to take up immediate action for shutting down of the rehabilitation centre and take up necessary actions against those who do not adhere to the guidelines framed by the social welfare department for setting up of TRUST.
