Wallet containing Rs 33,000 returned to owner

Imphal, November 22 2018:
109 Bn CRPF personnel deployed at Rajbhavan, Imphal have returned a wallet containing Rs 33,000 to its owner, who lost it near Rajbhavan traffic junction in the wee hours of November 21.When the CRPF, 109 Bn personnel on duty at Rajbhavan, main gate noticed the wallet lying on the road, the security personnel under HC/GD Manoj Kumar Joshi, BDD squad and a dog squad personnel of 109 Bn CRPF subsequently approached towards the main road and recovered the wallet, said a statement of 109 Bn, CRPF, Commandant.
Rs 33,000 in cash and few documents including credit card, debit card, Aadhaar card, Pan card, Voter ID etc were found inside the wallet.
The owner of the wallet Leimakhujam Tony Singh (31) of Sagolband Leimakhujam Leikai came to collect his wallet at Rajbhavan, Imphal, after he was contacted by security personnel.
After due verification, the wallet was returned to him, said the statement.
L Tony Singh, who worked as milk collector, expressed his sincere and heartfelt gratitude and appreciated the personnel and officers of 109 Bn CRPF for the kind act.
It further mentioned that 109 Bn, CRPF had earlier returned two lost baggages found last week.
Money purse containing Rs 3,000 of a Manipur Police Sub Inspector, cheques of Rs 8,000 of a civilian and one bag containing Rs 10,000, credit card, debit card, Bank Pass Book and a Cheque Books were returned to their owners, it said.
