Aid extended to destitute homes, needy people

As a part of Seva Hi Sangathan-II, a team led by Lok Sabha MP RK Ranjan along with BJP ST Morcha president Langjaigai Mani Kamei on Monday handed over edible items to orphanage and old age homes.
The beneficiaries included an old age home located at Bashik-hong Kitna Panung which is run by Bashikhong Chanura Sinlon Lup, Carmel Jyoti old age home and Yaibilen children home.
RK Fortune Developer Pvt Ltd managing director RK Rameshwar also distributed edible items to 600 households in Tera Loukrakpam Leikai that have been affected by Covid-19 pandemic while Celin Digital and NR Media distributed surgical face masks to Senapati police station.
Meanwhile, Lamjing Lairembi Apunba Lup Village Level Federation, Pukhao Naharup under the aegis of Manipur State Rural Livelihood Mission distributed essential items to households of Pukhao Terapur which have been notified as containment zones.
Intending candidate of Wabagai AC Mayengbam Ranjit along with volunteers of Friendship Sporting Club, Kakching Phoushupat Leikai also distributed edible items to 250 families under the jurisdiction of the club as BJP Manipur State executive member Oinam Malesh arranged dinner for around 70 Covid positive patients residing in Community Home Isolation Centre set up at Pitambara English School, Kwakeithel Laishram Leikai on Sunday.
Tangkhul Naga Film Association handed over fresh organic vegetables planted in hills to Republican Party of India (A) Manipur State president Maheshwar Thounaojam for further distribution among the needy people of the valley.
On the other hand, North American Manipuri Association (NAMA) has extended a sum of Rs 72,000 to Voice of Kangleipak-Volunteers of Disaster Response Forum (VOK-VDRF) Covid-19 Response Fund as aid to combat the pandemic.
Mention may be made here that the response team donated two oxygen concentrators bought from the fund to district administration Kakching and also extended various help to many individuals.
Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee general secretary M Subashchandra too provided essential items to Community Home Isolation Centres set up in various parts of Naoriya Pakhanglakpa AC including Pitambara English School, Malom Mega High School, Mekola Gulap Higher Secondary School and Kamakhya
