Minister Letpao hold talks with tribal bodies

Imphal, August 07 2022:
In view of rising number of un wanted incidents happening in the state in the aftermath of launch of ATSUM's protest over the ADC Bill, 2021 issue, tribal affairs & hills minister Letpao Haokip held talks with representatives of ATSUM and other tribal student bodies to find solution on the issue on Sunday evening.
According to sources, the talks started from around 5 pm at the official residence of minister Letpao at Lamphel in the presence of Hill Areas Committee (HAC) chairman Dinganglung Gangmei alias Dipu along with other tribal MLAs, ATSUM and representatives of other tribal student organisations.
Till the filing of the report talks were on as final resolution could not be reached.
Meanwhile, chief minister N Biren, who left for New Delhi on August 5, arrived here around 10:30 pm.
He had been in the national capital to attend the 7th Niti Aayog Governing Body Meeting held at the Cultural Centre, Rashtrapati Bhavan.
The sources also informed that another meeting was held the CM s secretariat minutes after he returned from the national capital.
