More cameras installed to snap Kuilong predator

Altogether eight camera traps have now been laid by Tamenglong Forest Division after six more traps were set on Friday to capture images of a suspected Bengal tiger/ tigress in a remote jungle of Kuilong Part-2 village.
According to DFO Tamenglong Kh Hitler, footprints of suspected Bengal tigress have been found as investigation is going on with the help of local villagers.
Footage of tiger/tigress has not been captured yet but there are several images of small carnivorous and herbivorous wild animal species like Sambar (cervus unicolor), barking deer (muntacious muntjak), wild boar (sis scrota), Himalayan livel (paguma larvata), leopard cat (prinonailurus bengalensis) in the camera traps.
Mention may be made that on July 6, the villagers of Kuilong Part-2 found carcasses of three cows killed by unknown carnivore suspected to be Bengal tiger/tigress.
Upon receiving the information from the villagers on July 7, a team of forest officials led by Kh Hitler went there the following day to ascertain the presence of the big cat.
To reach Kuilong Part-2 village, it is 5-6 hours' drive from Tamei Hq .
