Imphal, October 20 2010:
MLA of the ruling party, Bijoy Koijam, who is also the deputy chairman of the State Planning Board, has came down heavily upon the attitude of MOBC minister, Md Allauddin of doing work only in the interest of his constituency.
Speaking as chief guest at an inaugural function of a community hall at Thongju, MLA Bijoy charged the minister of Minority and Other Backward Classes, Md Allauddin of diverting 60 percent of the total funds for welfare and developmental schemes for minorities and OBC to his constituency, Keirao Kendra.
Bijoy said the minister was invested 60 percent of the funds released from the Central government for MOBC to his constituency and out of the remaining 40 percent, 17 percent has been invested in Lilong constituency where a maximum of one minority resides.
He charged that such an attitude of a minister working only in the interest of his constitution is unwarranted and it shows that he is doing family politics and does not care of the people of the state.
