Imphal, October 20 2010:
Reacting to an allegation made by Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF) regarding a trip of 13 students of Maharaja Bodhchandra College to Shillong, parents of these students have clarified that they gave permission to their wards for the said trip.
The parents while speaking to reporters said that the college students union fixed an external excursion tour to Shillong on October 17 .
The parents added, however, the trip was repeatedly postponed by the students union after collecting Rs 1800 each from the participating students.
Annoyed with the repeated postponement, the 13 students including three girls arranged a trip of their own to Shillong after consulting their respective parents, they said.
They further clarified that nothing is related to the students union and college authority with the said trip.
