Awareness programme held

As a part of ongoing awareness programme conducted in different parts of Manipur to highlight the various social welfare scheme initiated by the ND A Government in the last four years under the slogan "SAAFNIYAT, SAHIVIKAS", an awareness programme was conducted today at Bunglon High School in Churachandpur District after IPR Minister Th Bishwajit launched a five-day long photo exhibition to be held from September 16 at INA Memorial Hall.
Under the supervision of Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Govt of India, Field Outreach Bureau Chandel organized the awareness programme while ADC Member Churachandpur Seilenmang Khongsai, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting Govt of India ADG Region SK Malviya, Regional Outreach Bureau Imphal Head of office K Sonikumar Singh, CHC Moirang MO Dr Ksh Umananda Singh, MOMA K Ibomcha attended the programme as presidium members.
While delivering the key note speech, Head of Office Regional Outreach Bureau Imphal K Sonikumar said that the main objective of the awareness programme to bring forth the various welfare schemes for the public taken up the Government of India.
Speaking as resource person, CHC Moirang MO Dr Ksh Umananda Singh spoke on the range of welfare measures related to Health initiated by Government of India.
Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Govt of India ADG Region SK Malviya said that the welfare scheme could not reach to far flung area due to lack of awareness among the people residing in remote area and added that full cooperation from the public is required to encash the benefits of various welfare scheme bestowed by Government of India.
