MPYCC protests fuel price hike

Volunteers of Manipur Pradesh Youth Congress staged a protest in front of PCTC, Khoyathong, against the soaring prices of petrol, diesel and cooking gas and they shouted slogans condemning the price hike of essential commodities like fuel and cooking gas and demanded reduction of the exorbitant prices.
Speaking to media persons, Manipur Pradesh Congress Youth Congress Committee secretary in-charge Maibam Subhaschandra said that said that the prices of fuel and cooking gas skyrocketed in the country after Prime Minister Narendra Modi led Government came to power, thus leading to rise in prices of all other essential commodities.
He claimed that when the Congress was in power in the Centre, the price of petrol was Rs 53 per litre and at that time, BJP had raised a great hue and cry.
Today, the price of petrol has climbed to more than Rs 80 per litre while that of diesel has reached more than Rs 70 per litre.
Demanding the Central and the State Governments to reduce the prices of fuel and cooking gas, Subhaschandra demanded the Government to implement 7th Pay for the employees as well from tomorrow.
